The Global Institute for Student Counseling and Mental Health is a leader in training student counselors, advisors and other mental health professionals in the skills and knowledge needed to create and deliver high-quality, culturally-informed counseling practices.
A Global Need
Student mental health problems worldwide have dramatically increased in both numbers and severity in the past 10 years. This trend has been called a crisis for U.S. college campuses, and similar trends have been documented globally. The Global Institute's mission is to bring people together from around the world to share innovative ideas, and create culturally-informed best practices within the field of counseling. The goal is to try and combat this growing acuity of mental health challenges that we see among college students today.
